Parkinson's Disease

NHS primary care prescribing data for Parkinson's disease therapies

There are approximately 145,000 people in the UK with Parkinson’s disease. Whilst there is currently no cure for Parkinson’s disease, medications are available that can improve the symptoms.

GPrX Data collates all the UK primary care prescribing data for Parkinson’s disease therapies, including dopaminergics such as co-careldopa and co-beneldopa. Other therapies contained in our prescribing database include anticholinergics (such as procyclidine), monoamine oxidase-B (MOA-B) inhibitors (such as selegiline and rasagiline), and catechol-O-methyltransferase (COMT) inhibitors (for example, entacapone).

Please see to the right for our RxIndex providing a snapshot of the co-careldopa market.
